Quality Lab Technician/Inspector (Manufacturing component testing lab)
Job DescriptionJob Description1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time.
- Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules.
- Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer.
- Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Keep Cetec order location data current and correct.
- Full and complete understanding of all HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.
- Perform QC needed.
- Perform dimensional checks on HCOA machined parts and outside vendor machined parts.
- Perform hardness and conductivity tests as required.
- Help with calibration of all equipment and associated paperwork as required.
- Ensure Mylar and assembly of part match to part specifications; and information such as part number, adhesive lot and roll numbers, serial number, operator, date, etc. is identified properly and clearly on product as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Mylar, procedures, specifications, etc.
- Maintain proper operator maintenance and calibration of QC Lab equipment.
- Lab tests such as drum peel, lap shear, crack extension, flexural, flatwise and salt spray as needed.
- Ensure work areas are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris.
- All other duties as assigned.
2. Qualifications:
- High School or General Education Diploma
- Chemical analysis, NDT, lab, or First Articles/AS 9102 experience
- Manufacturing environment/component testing
- Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to technical data.
- Microsoft Office Suite and data entry into ERP systems (Excel intermediate a must)
- Security Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US. If required possess the ability to pass the Defense Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2
3. Physical Demands / ADA Compliance
The employee may be required to stand for a full shift while wearing PPE. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, and co-lift or use lifting equipment over 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20/20 with full depth perception. Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40).
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm. Monday through Friday. Onsite only.
PAY: $20-$22 an hour dependent upon related experience
Background and Drug test required.
