Quality Management System Engineer

Responsibilities:
Ensure the development, launch and maintenance of the Quality Systems in order to meet or surpass quality levels of the ISO/TS - 16949 standard and assisting Supplier Development functions.
Utilize the IATF-Technical Specification ISO/TS -16949 international standard and customer specific requirements to develop the company’s systems.
Assist manufacturing departments in developing their Control Plans and Work Instructions in accordance to their PFMEAs, Process Flows, quality system’s procedures and customer requirements.
Maintain and distribute all Engineering specifications and standards as received from the customer and/or other sources in order to meet APQP requirements.
Participate in cross-functional APQP meetings to review open issues and activities which need to be resolved or acted upon.
Participate and verify the training effectiveness of departmental team members during start-up phases.
Responsible for coordinating and chairing Internal Audit meetings.
Conduct supplier quality system surveys according to ISO/TS-16949 requirements.
Review and approve supplier PPAP’s and trial runs. Initiate corrective action if PPAP’s are not approved.
Creates internal procedures, supports Engineering on work instructions and forms necessary to satisfy systems requirements.
Maintains records to demonstrate positive control.
Attends Management Reviews of systems Assist in the training of associates in the understanding of systems
Supports and coordinates efforts in preparation of audits
Compute and relate to customer production defect information such as scrap and inspection data
Work with management on prevention of recurring non-conformances.
Participate in CI programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives
Perform job duties within the guidelines of the Supplier Quality Manual and ISO/TS-16949 procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Engineering or a related field is (An Associate’s Degree coupled with at least four years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree).
A minimum of five (5) years Automotive/Quality experience
Knowledge of PPAP / Submission process systems or equivalent i
Blue print reading and GD&T
Knowledge of SPC, MSA and GR&R
Abilities to communicate with Suppliers, APQP cross-functional teams, Employees and the management team.
