Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for planning coordinating and directing the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of product consistent with established standards and Customer specific requirements. They also develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of the finished product. The Quality Manager is professional, respectful, courteous & friendly to all customers & suppliers, as well as to fellow employees, Supervisors & Managers at Masters Machine, and reports to the Director of Quality & Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
  • Develop documentation (i.e., AS9102, PPAP, etc.) in accordance with customer specified requirements.
  • Manage the Corrective/Preventive Action and Calibration Database
  • Serves as the customer and supplier point of contact regarding complaint resolution and corrective action.
  • Directs personnel engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and product.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Regularly conducts Internal and Workstation Audits to identify and drive out systemic issues.
  • Evaluates and dispositions product identified as questionable and documents the disposition in the Questionable Material Log
  • Directly involved with the monthly reporting of Key Business Objectives and posting company AS9100 metrics on appropriate boards in a timely manner
  • Authorized to issue purchase orders for QA sorting, calibration, and parts (1,500.00)

General Obligations:

  • Be punctual and have a good attendance record. The Director of Quality & Engineering must approve any time off requests in advance.
  • Work in a safe & orderly manner, promptly reporting personal injuries & unsafe conditions to a Safety Team Member or Production Manager depending on severity of the condition,
  • Be concerned for the safety of others and work together improving safety.
  • Protect & maintain equipment & materials from damage and loss.

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED Graduate
  • Five years or more experience in field
  • Working knowledge of Precision Components Industry
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent Organizational skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for several hours and lift or move up to 50lbs. The employee must have the ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing as well as hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of an emergency situation.
