Title: Quality Control Manager
Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Quality Manager who will be responsible for managing the quality control operations, inspectors, and lab personnel. In addition, supporting and making decisions for the release of materials, in-process production, and final release of finished products.
Responsibilities
- Supervise prioritization of routine, in-process, stability, and finished product testing.
- Supervise support of operations of Environmental monitoring and critical utilities.
- Implement and improve quality systems to ensure compliance with testing SOPs and specifications. Use regulatory and quality guidelines.
- Ensure employees are trained and qualified and periodically audited. Ensure personal training requirements are met and that training records are current.
- Prepare and revise SOPs and specifications. Write memos, reports, protocols, CPSs, and other appropriate documentation for the proper function of the lab operation to product support release decisions.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring of filling rooms and supporting areas to support qualification and routine monitoring.
- Coordinate sampling of water and pure steam to support system qualification activities and routine maintenance.
- Incubation and reading of test samples.
- Coordinate bioburden testing of water and in-process samples to detect microorganisms and to obtain information on types and levels of microbial contamination.
- Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly lab maintenance and stocks supplies
- Coordinate and prepare reagents and standards used for testing
- Coordinates incoming material testing and inventory.
- Support customers with requests and investigations related to product quality.
- Data entry of results generated.
- Identifying and initiating deviations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemical, Biochemistry, or Engineering
- 5+ years' relevant work experience in a similar field (FDA-regulated environment, Knowledge of ISO)
- Ability to manage people on 3 different shifts
- Laboratory quality experience - water/chemical-based productions
- Excellent computer skills with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint. (Office 365 pack)
- Proven collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and translate strategies into specific objectives and operational plans.
- Uses data, logic, and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. (data analytics mainly)
- Uses inductive and deductive reasoning to analyze, synthesize, compare, and interpret information.
