Job DescriptionQuality & Service Supervisor / Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Supervisor / Quality Specialist / Service Supervisor required to join a global manufacturer based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

This position will be working within the Service & Quality department, where you’ll provide a proactive, effective, and efficient technical service and customer complaint root cause analysis function.

This position would suit someone who has been around quality engineering, service engineering and complaints to determine product failure & provide aftersales technical support. It’s a varied role incorporating customer interaction, root cause analysis, quality control, servicing and quoting.

Role
Leading a team of 4, including Service Administrator, Service Technician, Quality Controller and Quality Technician
Coordinate activities including primary investigations, corrective action, root cause analysis, reporting and despatch.
Manage customer complaint investigations through to root cause and prepare suitable technical reports.
80% quality engineering / 20% service
Using FMEA, 8D and Root Cause analysis to get to the reason of product faults and ensure quality / complaints are supported
Provide technical service support and root cause analysis on a range of sensors, test & measurement equipment, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) related equipment ATEX products
Supporting customers in the Process Industries, including oil and gas, food and beverage, pharma, chemical, petrochemical, marine and nuclear.
Liaise with various engineering departments
07:00 – 16.15 Hours Monday to Thursday and 07:00 – 12:00 Hours Friday
Office based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Requirements
This would suit someone in a supervisory / management / lead role within quality / complaints, service / aftersales support. Previous experience as a Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Supervisor / Quality Team Leader / Quality Specialist / Senior Service Engineer / Service Supervisor / Technical Support Engineer or similar would be beneficial
Engineering qualification – mechanical, electrical or electronic
Knowledge of FMEA, 8D or root cause analysis beneficial
Knowledge of sensors, test & measurement equipment, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) related equipment, ATEX products, valves, controls, instrumentation, actuators, meters, pipework, gas, fluids, food & dev, hydraulics, electromechanical, compressors would be advantageous.
Exposure within the process industries, including oil and gas, food and beverage, pharma, chemical, petrochemical, marine and nuclear would be a benefit
