Quantity Surveyor\nMain Contractor\nNorth East – Tyneside\nSalary - Competitive DOE + car allowance\nThe company\nInside Construction have been appointed to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor who specialise in commercial refurbishment solutions. They work predominately in the public sector (healthcare) offering full turnkey building solutions.\nThe role\nThe main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the financial delivery of the project, offering commercial expertise for the full project life cycle. It is the Quantity Surveyors responsibly to ensure projects are procured and delivered within budget – seeking to minimise costs and ensure legal regulations are adhered to.\nKey responsibilities\n * Multiple project cost control and reporting\n * Managing payments\n * Valuations and final accounting\n * Measure progress and variations\n * Issuing notices of the contract\n * Liaising with operations site team and other stakeholders within the business – building strong relationships\n * Subcontractor and material procurement\n * Monthly CVR\nThe person\nThis opportunity would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who can take full responsibility for the financial delivery of the project.

It’s essential you have a degree in quantity surveying and at least 2-3 years industry experience. Our client looks for good negotiators with excellent cost management and reporting skills. You will be managing multiple projects so it's important you can absorb complex information and manage your time accordingly.

The role will involve site visits, so a driving license is essential.
