Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a fast-paced manufacturers, working with a number of private and local authroity housing clients in Scotland.  They are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in pricing variations and project management, and will be capable of working across multiple contracts simultaneously.



Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, submit, and negotiate pricing of variations.

- Manage and oversee the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

- Conduct cost analysis and prepare cost plans.

- Undertake risk, value management, and cost control.

- Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor, and time.

- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

- Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

- Conduct site visits and assessments.

- Prepare and submit project valuations and progress reports.

- Manage and track project budgets and expenditures.

- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.



Skills and Qualifications:

- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

- Proven experience in pricing variations and project management.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.

- Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Full UK driving license.
