Quantity Surveyor

We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor based within a commutable difference to Bristol to work hybrid with the occasional site visit when necessary.



All of the projects will be within the power industry and focused around renewable energy projects. With plenty more projects planned this year they’re looking to continue growing the QS department to keep up with the demand.



It comes with a fantastic package. Alongside being able to work largely from home, there’s a salary up to £65,000 on offer, with a £6K car allowance and a bonus which can rise up to 20% amongst other things such as life insurance, a pension and rising holiday allowance.



Job Role:



* Office visits are likely to only be around once a week so a lot of your time can be spent working from home.



* Monitoring commercial activities across a range of projects



* Oversee Pre-contract agreements



* Assisting with negotiation of contracts.



* Translating the on site strategic plans into clear commercial plans.



* Ensure positive cashflow and create milestones to be able to monitor it.



* Attending monthly meetings with the Head of Commercial, and weekly meetings with the project teams to review project performance.



* Proactively engaging in a culture of continuous business improvement.



* Staying up to date with technological changes within the industry.



Skills and Qualifications:



* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor from a similar industry ie power or more specifically an ICP



* Experience in renewable energy projects is preferable



* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.



* Strong time management skills to ensure you meet agreed deadlines
