Circa £55,000 + car/car allowance

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and delivering exceptional value. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate cost estimates, manage budgets, and oversee expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.


Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for various stages of projects, including initial proposals and final valuations. Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Review and administer contracts, including negotiating terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolve any disputes that arise
  • Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare regular financial reports. Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions to keep projects within budget
  • Conduct site measurements and valuations to ensure accurate billing and cost assessments. Manage variations and adjustments as required, ensuring all changes are documented and appropriately priced
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to provide financial insights and support project decision-making. Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to address any financial issues
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Assess potential impacts of changes in project scope, schedule, or design on costs and budgets
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation related to the project. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies


Criteria for the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or similar is highly desirable
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, working with an ICP or Multi-Utility Contractor is required
