About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial and contractual elements of construction projects under your management. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed within budget while adhering to contractual timelines and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Financial Management

  • Lead the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to contracts.
  • Place sub-contract and material orders aligned with project requirements, maintaining accurate records for finance purposes.
  • Prepare and manage cost budgets for each project, updating regularly during the monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) process.
  • Produce accurate monthly CVRs, thoroughly analysing all cost areas and sub-contract packages.
  • Ensure client and supply chain variations are captured, reviewed, and agreed upon promptly.

Cashflow and Revenue

  • Provide detailed cashflow and revenue forecasts for projects under your control.
  • Maximise client valuations to maintain a strong cash position for each project.

Compliance and Legal

  • Submit sub-contract valuations in line with contractual timelines, including all required legal notifications.
  • Adhere to company deadlines as outlined in the Commercial Timetable.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide support to colleagues as needed, acting in the best interests of the company at all times.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure all site compliance paperwork is completed as required.
  • Perform all duties in line with company policies and current legislative requirements.
