About the Role:\n\nBennett and Game are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of groundworks and civil engineering projects. This role will involve working closely with project teams to ensure cost efficiency, contract compliance, and financial control across multiple groundwork projects, including roads, drainage, foundations, and external works.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCost Management & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and budgets for groundwork projects.\nContract Administration: Assess and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with NEC, JCT, or bespoke agreements.\nValuations & Payments: Prepare applications for payment, interim valuations, and final accounts.\nTendering & Procurement: Assist in subcontractor selection, tender documentation, and procurement negotiations.\nRisk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks on projects.\nChange & Variation Control: Evaluate project variations, negotiate costs with subcontractors, and agree on changes with clients.\nFinancial Reporting: Provide regular cost reports and project financial updates to senior management.\nStakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, site teams, and external consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.Experience & Qualifications:\n\nPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor in groundwork/civil engineering projects.\nStrong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and commercial management.\nExperience in pricing, procurement, and tendering processes.\nAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.\nProficiency in cost management software and Excel.\nFull UK driving licence.Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.\n\nWe are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for
