The Role – Quantity Surveyor:



As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining financial control from inception to completion. You will work on a variety of projects, overseeing budgets, contracts, and cost planning to ensure successful delivery.



Key Responsibilities:



✔ Cost management and reporting throughout project lifecycles

✔ Preparing tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies

✔ Conducting risk assessments and value engineering exercises

✔ Managing subcontractor payments and valuations

✔ Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency

✔ Providing accurate cost forecasting and budget control



What We’re Looking For:



✔ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

✔ Strong knowledge of contract law, JCT & NEC contracts

✔ Ability to manage multiple projects with values up to £20 million

✔ Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

✔ Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification)

✔ Experience working with main contractors or building contractors is highly desirable
