About The Contractor:\n\nReddbrick are recruiting for a regional contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects. Currently, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and manage projects throughout the East Midlands region, with experience of commercial builds, Education and Healthcare.\n\nQuantity Surveyor Role:\n\nAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.\n\nQuantity Surveyor Responsibilities:\n\n * Conducting cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans\n\n * Conducting the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms.\n\n * Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures\n\n * Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management\n\n * Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions\n\n * Managing the preparation and submittal of monthly reports on project financial performance\n\n * Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements\n\n * The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties but will not be limited to these duties alone.\n\nQuantity Surveyor Requirements:\n\n * Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field\n\n * A strong understanding of forms of construction contracts.\n\n * Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills\n\n * A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving\n\n * Experience of commercial builds and taking responsibility for projects up to the value of £5m\n\nQuantity Surveyor benefits:\n\n * Competitive salary and package\n\n * Opportunities for professional development and career advancement\n\n * Supportive and dynamic work environment fostering teamwork and innovation.\n\nIf you would like any further information or would be interested in applying for this vacancy please get in touch today
