We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a busy main contractor in Southampton. The business has a presence operating from several regional offices across the country. Their Southern division is made up of offices in the South and South West, with the Southampton office being one of the newer in the region. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including education, defence, commercial and health care valuing anywhere from £10mil - £80mil.



As a result of a recent project win, they're looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Quantity Surveyor.



About the role of Quantity Surveyor:



As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a project alongside a Senior uantity Surveyor, procuring and managing several key sub-contractor packages. You will be involved in cost reporting upline. This role is to work within a growing unit, so there will be ample opportunity to progress in your role and responsibilities.



Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:



Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders

Manage sub-contract procurement

Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations

Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client

Deal with final accounts



Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor:



Have a HNC / construction related degree

Have administered JCT and NEC forms of contract

Must have the full right to work in the UK

Must be happy to commute to Southampton and sites as required
