Quantity Surveyor\n Location: Various European locations (including Ireland, UK, and Mainland Europe)\n Industry: M&E Contracting – Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Commercial Fit-Outs\n Type: Permanent, Full-Time\n Join a Tier-One M&E Contractor on Some of Europe’s Most Complex Projects\n We’re seeking a commercially astute and technically strong Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing team, delivering large-scale, high-tech construction projects across Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will directly impact the commercial success and operational excellence of our projects.\n What You’ll Be Doing:\n \nPrepare and manage detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and monthly valuations. \nCollaborate with Project Managers to validate tenders, prepare cash flow forecasts, and maintain project cost control systems (CCS).
\nAttend site regularly for measurement, interim valuations, and monitoring of project progress. \nIdentify and manage variations, loss and expense claims, and ensure timely submissions in line with contractual conditions. \nLead on client invoicing, subcontractor payments, and supplier contracts with financial accuracy.
\nMonitor procurement activities and ensure timely resolution of contractual or commercial issues. \nAssist in mentoring junior QS team members and contribute to continuous process improvement. \nSupport risk and change management processes, working collaboratively with project stakeholders.
\nDraft pre- and post-contract correspondence with clients and subcontractors. What We’re Looking For:\n \nDegree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management. \n5–7 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within M&E or large-scale construction environments.
\nExperience across multiple project control functions—cost reporting, procurement, contract admin, etc. \nProven site-based experience on large-scale international projects (data centres, pharma, or commercial fit-outs ideal). \nSolid understanding of construction contracts and their commercial application.
\nStrong knowledge of project execution plans, risk management, WBS and cost control methods. \nExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. \nAble to take initiative, work independently, and manage workload under tight deadlines.
