We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all costs relating to civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. The Quantity Surveyor will ensure that projects are completed within the projected budget while meeting high standards of quality and compliance.



‘Quantity Surveyor’ Key Responsibilities:



Cost Management, monitor and control project costs, ensuring budget adherence and cost efficiency.

Estimation, prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documentation for civil engineering projects.

Manage and administer contracts, including assessment of contract variations and claims.

Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, and negotiating terms.

Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for project stakeholders.

Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

Ensure all work complies with relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Conduct site visits to assess progress, measure works, and verify costs.

Qualifications and Experience:



Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sector.

Proficient in the use of industry-standard software and tools such as AutoCAD, CostX, or similar.

Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT), procurement methods, and cost management principles.

Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or ICES (Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors) is .

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
