Job Title: Permanent Quantity Surveyor



Location: Bournemouth



Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience



We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company with a strong track record of delivering successful projects across multiple sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of projects from inception to completion.



Key Responsibilities:



* Manage all aspects of cost planning, cost reporting, and financial management for projects.



* Prepare and submit detailed tender documents, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.



* Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and the project remains within budget.



* Prepare cost estimates and provide advice on cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.



* Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and provide on-site cost advice.



* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.



* Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.



* Review and manage contract variations and provide timely updates to project teams.



* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.



* Support senior management in strategic decision-making and provide accurate reports on project status.



Key Requirements:



* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.



* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management processes.



* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.



* A strong understanding of cost management and financial controls in construction projects.



* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.



* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).



* RICS membership (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.



* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
