Quantity Surveyor – Facades\n\nLocation: Leeds\nSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year\n\nJob Types: Full-time, Permanent\nSchedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompany Car\n\nOn-site Parking\n\nCompany pension\n\nHealth Car\n\nTravel Allowance\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nTake a lead in managing all commercial activities, including risk management, from tender to completion of facade schemes. Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver projects and report to the Commercial Manager on job statuses.\n\nAbout You: We seek individuals who are:\n\nTeam Players: Communicate, collaborate, and engage with colleagues to contribute to the team's success.\n\nDependable: Produce consistent, high-quality work with excellent attendance and timekeeping.\n\nPositive: Contribute positively to the company, take initiative, and provide suggestions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Manage live facade projects from tender through construction.\n\n * Support operational teams (Project Managers, Site Managers).\n\n * Understand Employers Requirements, Contractual Obligations, and Tender Proposals.\n\n * Understand JCT D&B contracts.\n\n * Report accurately to the Commercial Manager.\n\n * Manage supply chain (Sub-contractors and Suppliers).\n\n * Ensure all sub-contract packages are commercially vetted before contract placement.\n\n * Identify and price project variations.\n\n * Ensure knowledge of the Building Safety Act and insurance stipulations.\n\n * Work with the estimating team to write accurate bids.\n\n * Maintain regular client liaison.\n\nDuties Include:\n\n * Review tender packages and contracts.\n\n * Work with pre-construction procurement teams for thorough internal handover.\n\n * Attend client pre-construction/start meetings.\n\n * Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.\n\n * Appraise sub-contract packages and approve payments.\n\n * Manage valuation and invoicing for the Facade Department.\n\n * Price variations using Immortalis software.\n\n * Work with Finance Department on commercial matters.\n\n * Produce and maintain monthly CVRs per scheme.\n\n * Implement internal KPIs and business goals.\n\n * Support internal departments from handover to project completion.\n\n * Assist other business divisions as needed.\n\nQualifications:\n\n * Desirable: Level 3 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations, CPD in Building Safety Act, contractual training courses.\n\nSkills and Experience:\n\nEssential: At least 3 years of estimating experience in construction, knowledge of Fire Safety and Building Safety Act, technical knowledge in facades, ability to read technical drawings, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, excellent communication, analytical, and numerical skills, proactive and commercially aware.\n\nDesirable: Knowledge of JCT contracts, project risk awareness, financials, proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu software, and SharePoint
