Quantity Surveyor - Groundworks\n\nLocation: Wokingham\n\nSalary: £45,000 - £60,000\n\nHunter Mason’s Client\n\nHunter Mason’s client has extensive years of experience in the construction and civil engineering industry. Our client has now identified the need for a quantity surveyor who has experience across a variety of sectors such as Civils, Water, Highways, Rail, Defence and Utilities to join their expanding team.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Conducting cost estimates, budget preparation, and cost control for assigned projects.\n\n * Managing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.\n\n * Conducting risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs.\n\n * Collaborating with project managers to ensure financial goals are met.\n\n * Regularly updating project financial reports and providing insights to stakeholders.\n\n * Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in a Project Quantity Surveyor role.\n\n * Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and industry best practices.\n\n * Strong background in the Civils, Water, Highways, Rail, Defence and Utilities sector.\n\n * Excellent negotiation and communication skills.\n\n * Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).\n\n * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\n\n * Relevant professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.\n\n * Experience with EV projects would be desirable but not essential
