As a Quantum Systems Architect at our client, you’ll collaborate with quantum physicists, software developers, and hardware engineers to define system architectures that enable robust quantum computing solutions. Your expertise in quantum algorithms, hardware constraints, and hybrid system design will be pivotal in delivering impactful quantum technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Scalable Quantum Architectures:
- Develop system-level designs that integrate quantum computing with classical infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Create workflows that seamlessly combine quantum and classical computing, addressing challenges like data transfer, latency, and synchronization.
- Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless compatibility between quantum systems and their operating environments.
- Design architectures that integrate quantum error correction and noise mitigation strategies, ensuring stable and accurate computations.
- Establish criteria for evaluating system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing resource allocation across quantum systems.
- Explore emerging technologies, such as quantum networking and quantum memory, to enhance system capabilities and push the boundaries of performance.
- Provide technical leadership in system design, guiding cross-disciplinary teams in achieving project goals and delivering innovative solutions.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Quantum Computing Frameworks: Expertise in tools like Qiskit, Cirq, or TensorFlow Quantum for designing and implementing system architectures.
- Experience with System-Level Design: Knowledge of classical and quantum system integration, including networking, storage, and resource management.
- Strong Understanding of Quantum Algorithms: Familiarity with algorithms like Grover’s, Shor’s, and variational quantum eigensolvers (VQE).
- Hardware Knowledge: Understanding of quantum hardware platforms, including superconducting qubits, trapped ions, or photonic systems, and their operational constraints.
- Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and drive innovative solutions from concept to implementation.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in quantum systems design may be considered.
- Publications or patents in system architecture, quantum computing, or hybrid systems are advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in systems architecture or quantum computing, with a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale systems.
- Familiarity with fault-tolerant quantum computing and quantum networking is a plus.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects in quantum or high-performance computing.
