Currently, the Aloft Raleigh is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Cook to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing made-to-order menu items with high-quality ingredients while maintaining exceptional hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have experience handling Turbo Chef equipment, be organized, and take pride in delivering an outstanding dining experience.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Service:
· Take food orders and deliver them in a timely and professional manner.
· Prepare made-to-order menu items (8-10 items) using quality ingredients.
· Wrap, label, and store food items properly to maintain freshness and safety.
· Responsible for food preparation and support for the bar menu service.
Kitchen Operations:
· Handle all kitchen prep work, including stocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen is ready for service the next day.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
· Clean all work areas, equipment, and utensils after use.
Inventory & Restocking:
· Check kitchen supplies regularly and ensure adequate stock levels.
· Re-stock food market items.
· Manage and organize weekly food and beverage inventory and ordering.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a cook, preferably with Turbo Chef equipment.
· Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
· The candidate ideal should be well versed in Serv-safe guidelines and practices.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
This role involves standing for extended periods, handling kitchen equipment, and working in a fast-paced environment with varying demands.
