This company is currently based in Central Dublin but would welcome applications from candidates based in Cork or willing to be present in Cork at least 3 days per week.As an inclusive employer we are open to flexible working arrangements to suit people’s personal circumstances.Your role will be that of leading a relevant Railway Project in the Area of Cork and act as the portfolio lead for the delivery of our railways projects in Ireland.You will be embedded in the UK&I Transportation & Infrastructure team reporting to the Infrastructures UK&I Director and working collaboratively to deliver our most emblematic UK and Irish Railways Projects: Cork Area Commuter Rail, HS2 Phase 1 (All lots) amongst others.Projects include all stages of design from feasibility to detailed design and site construction supervision both UK and Ireland. Our clients are a mix between Public Clients and Contractors.Responsibilities include: Managing, expanding and developing key clientManage project work on a day-to-day basis and ensure that the work is delivered within the agreed timescale and budgetsCoordinate multi-disciplinary design of railways projects.Commercial management of projects. Acting as primary client contact for cost and commercial related reporting and quality assurance.Resource management for the project.Line management responsibility for the development and performance management of other team members to support the development of the company’s business.Working to continually improve services and drive innovation.Skills/QualificationsChartered Civil Engineering and/or membership of a recognised body10 years or more experience in rail/railway infrastructure design10 years or more in a Programme Manager/Senior Project manager roleExperience in NEC Contracts.Experience in preliminary design and planning/statutory process.Experience in Business Development and Tender preparation.Experience engaging with Clients, external stakeholders and subconsultantsOral Hearing experience, desirableFlexible and good team playerIND-ST-23 Tags:
