Ramp Safety Coordinator

Labor A Newrest Ramp SafetyCoordinator is responsible for auditing team member performance and processesto ensure safe behaviors and outcomes. This role partners with theoperations teams to develop and drive a healthy safety culture, includingconducting audits, reporting on findings, coaching team members, analyzingtrends, and improving behaviors and processes. This role is part of theSafety and Training team. Skills andKnowledge · Evaluate compliance on the ramp (perform auditof ramp operations) & take immediate corrective actions (includingreporting to HR for disciplinary measures). · Guide and ensure safe operations on the ramp. · Coach the drivers on the ramp when immediatecorrection is required. · Complete flight audits which are expected to be conductedoutside of the vehicle and be interactive with the driver/guide teams.Proactive intervention should be exercised anytime an actual or potential riskarises. · Conduct dock audit with address/correct failuresand safety violations observed at the dock; improper chocking, reversingwithout a guide and other unsafe practices. · Complete reports and send update via What’sAppsafety auditor group immediately following the shift including date, supervisoron duty, number of audits completed, including amount passed/failed,explanation if quota is not met, details of incidents or accidents thatoccurred and coaching if applicable · Ensure compliance with all Newrest, airport,civil aviation, security, and local regulatory standards and provide guidanceand clarification on these regulations. · Work with operations team to deliver effectivesafety briefings and proactive safety communication programs. · Support safety training initiatives. · Continuously identify, assess, andreduce/eliminate health and safety risks. · Investigate accidents, injuries, and safetyopportunities then complete associated reports and make recommendations forcorrective actions. · Safely operate company vehicles according to allpolicies, including pre-shift inspections and end of shift clean out. · Identify areas for improvement and developaction plans to increase performance. Perfil Work Related Circumstances Must be flexible and able and willing to workextra hours and weekends, bank holidays and evenings when required to meetseasonal, event and visitor demands.
