Roles and Responsibilities

• Identifies manufacturing/engineering deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, proposes solutions. 
• Responsible for the mechanical design of HV Instrument Transformers (ITR).
• Guarantees product compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. 
• Ensures that all technical documentation required for the manufacturing and sales of the products (drawings, bill of materials, instructions, manuals, material specifications etc.) is prepared in high quality, efficiently and in a timely manner. 
• Participates in development of new products, improvement and customization of existing products. Works closely with unit and ITR departments involved in the development process. 
• Provides technical support in the resolution of field problems.
• Provides technical guidance to suppliers, working closely with Sourcing. Supports manufacturing on a daily basis. 
• Supports the sales effort in the preparation of proposals and quotations, and the review of non-standard requirements.
• Support on improvement of manufacturing process.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 
• 2D and 3D on-hands drafting experience is required. 
• Finite elements analysis (FEA) experience applied in structural analysis is required.
• Solid experience in R&D or Engineering area, focused on tests, cost reducing, innovation and improvement.
• Advanced English for Communication
• Fluent in Portuguese

Desired Characteristics

• Initiative, ability to plan organize and prioritize work, analytical and problem solving skills, good interpersonal relationship.
• Experience with Dynamic Analysis.
• Experience in the field of instrument or power transformers is a plus.
• Second language skills are of benefit, especially French.
