We are currently seeking RCP Motor Mechanics.
Job Description:
- Disassembly and reassembly of vertical motors up to 12,000 HP (13.2kw Voltage).
- Work with and around radioactive materials (using proper PPE).
- Troubleshoot oil leaks, vibration problems, etc.
- Perform incoming and outgoing test runs on motors.
- Miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Must be able to successfully complete and maintain Radiological Worker Training annually (cost covered by employer).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors and/or pumps.
- Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed (nights/weekends).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must know how to identify and use basic hand tools.
- Must know how to use M&TE to include dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, etc.
- Some basic electrical skills and knowledge , however not required.
- Must know how to safely operate a forklift.
- Must be familiar with the use of an overhead crane and basic rigging.
- Must understand use and adherence of written work instruction.
NOTE: This position requires drug and background screening.
