Refrigeration / Engineering IQA

Description Permanent contract, bank contract at least 2 days per week for 6 months. Salary is pro rata Demonstrable experience in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration industry or significant experience in an aligned sector (electrical, plumbing or engineering), with an ability to apply high quality internal verification practice to our apprenticeship delivery / qualifications in the Air Conditioning / Refrigeration provision. To undertake IQA activity in line with the College Quality Assurance Policy and procedures. To support lecturers, assessors, trainers, and tutors to deliver programmes to an excellent standard; and to plan, conduct and record sampling activities, carry out observations, and deliver standardisation sessions to ensure ongoing assessor development.  To contribute to assessor performance reviews, observations, determining referral rates; and identifying areas for development.  To contribute to EQA visits and lead development / improvement actions alongside the Head of Apprenticeships and Apprenticeship - Quality and Compliance Co-ordinator to ensure Awarding Organisation compliance.  The job posting can close as soon as sufficient applications have been received. Key Responsibilities Co-ordinate / support and undertake Awarding Organisation EQA visit activities. Lead on sector / qualification development / improvement actions alongside the Head of Apprenticeships and Apprenticeship - Quality and Compliance Co-ordinator to ensure Awarding Organisation compliance.   Lead on standardisation activities for all qualifications which form part of their sampling plan. Develop and manage standardised sampling plans for allocated lecturers, assessors, trainers, and tutors. Sample all qualifications in line with sampling plans, risk bandings, IQA strategy and qualification sampling rationales. Undertake observations of assessment practice at college (to ensure activity is in line with awarding body assessment requirement and observe work place assessments through planned visits in line with the college’s IQA Strategy. Ensure all IQA documentation is completed adhering to Awarding Organisation and college standards. Maintain the integrity of all programmes by reporting any suspected malpractice or maladministration are followed.
