This position travels between their New York and New Jersey locations.
Compliance Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Review and approve all new move in Applications
- HUD Units (5 sites)
- ALL HUD ANNUAL CERTS REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY COMPLIANCE DEPT.
- Enter Annual HUD GRC’s and send Sandy updated UA reports
- Process the monthly HUD voucher and submit TRACS files
- Keep current on all HUD requirements and update sites
- 100% Annual Certifications file reviews for HUD sites
- All Annuals will be reviewed by the compliance dept. sticking to the MOR file checklist.
- Verify EIV reports
- Once file is approved it will be uploaded into Onesite so it’s never misplaced, lost, etc.
- Prepare site for MOR by collecting and submitting requested documents per initial MOR notice letter
- Mandatory Site Visit around 90 days from MOR and then again at 30 days prior to MOR to spot check condition of actual site files, verify that all Fair Housing posters are available for tenants to see and all HUD notices required to be posted for tenants to view are in fact posted, review the EIV site binder making sure it was updated with forms sent by compliance dept and any make sure all HUD MOR requirements are met.
- Mandatory site visit on the day of MOR to meet with HUD rep and be available for any questions, concerns, etc.
- Reply to any MOR file findings
- Compliance staff will attend annual MOR trainings and update site staff on any new HUD MOR requirements.
- ACC Units
- Review the Annual Certifications
- Upload of approved ACC files to Onesite
- Upload Monthly ACC files into PIC system for the HA
- Update Income limits annually in Onesite
- Update Utility Allowances for sites as required
- Keep current on all State HFA forms and update sites
- Reply to any file audit issues
- Process Monthly LIHTC files to MITAS through the State MITAS Portal
- Prepare Year End compliance reports for state HA’s.
- Train new hires on their respective sites
- Process Month End for Compliance Dept.
- Attend Annual LIHTC and/or HUD trainings
- Visit all sites at least Annually with exception of your HUD sites.
- Site visit required for any site audits from HFA, investors, etc.
Qualifications:
- This position travels between New York and New Jersey
- 3+ years affordable housing experience
- Must have certification in Affordable Housing
- This is NOT a remote position.
- Salary Commensurate with experience.
