Regional Design Manager

Job Description

I am seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Design Manager to join a leading regional contractor in Birmingham.\n\nThis role involves managing a team of up to 10 design professionals, working on a variety of projects from the tender stage through to completion.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Lead and manage a team of up to 10 design managers and support staff.\n\n * Oversee the design process from initial tender through to project completion.\n\n * Ensure design solutions meet project specifications, budgets, and timelines.\n\n * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.\n\n * Review and approve design documents and drawings.\n\n * Maintain and develop strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience in a design management role within the construction industry.\n\n * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.\n\n * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\n * In-depth knowledge of design processes, building regulations, and construction methodologies.\n\n * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\n * A proactive and problem-solving mindset.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and successful contractor with a diverse portfolio of projects and a strong pipeline of future work.
