Start Spreading MODness®, join the Squad today!SummaryAs a Regional Operations Director you will be responsible for leading store operations within an assigned region managing a team that will include District Managers and General Managers. The Regional Operations Director is responsible for store P/L, staffing, training, MOD Squad development, vendor management, managing fixed costs, maximizing sales, food and beverage quality, guest satisfaction, and profitability to meet company business goals and objectives. The Regional Operations Director will take an active participation role in expansion opportunities for current or prospective stores.The primary objective is to drive results and growth in our Midwest market taking full ownership and accountability. You will be expected to live, teach, and demonstrate the MOD Pizza culture in all interactions, and promote this principle in all MOD Squad members. You walk the talk.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Ability- Provides direction and oversight of all daily restaurant operations through District Managers, General Managers, working with Operations Services leadership. Articulates the strategic operational vision, focus and work priorities for Operations. Planning- Reviews store environments and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement; works in collaboration with store management teams to plan and execute the appropriate business strategies to increase sales and control operational costs. Establish initiatives and standards for sales, profitability, cost containment, waste reduction, quality, safety, and employee relations. Ensures all restaurants comply with federal, local, and state regulations for food safety, physical plant maintenance, and employment regulationsBusiness Insight- Partners with the Real Estate Director to identify opportunities for company growth and expansion; directs efforts to determine feasibility and prospective profitability. Inspires Vision and Purpose- Ensures that each District Manager upholds the standards and reputation of the MOD brand, while enhancing guest and team member experience, and overall profitability of the entire enterprise. Translates the overall business strategy into day-to-day execution, providing coaching and feedback to the DM’s & GM’s.Customer Service- Partners closely and collaboratively with corporate functional leaders on all programs introduced to the field, including goal setting, developing organizational capability, consistently role model a customer-first attitude and exhibit the company's culture, mission, and values through everyday activities and behaviors. Build and develop operational processes and procedures to support company's strategic directionLeading teams- Builds organizational talent by promoting the development of internal leaders, as well as championing the identification and attraction of high potential external talent. Maintains and actively manages internal and external talent to ensure preparedness for manpower needs due to growth and turnoverLeadership Courage- Is approachable and takes the time to build rapport with all. Celebrates the values by recognizing them in others.Basic Qualifications10+ years progressive job-related experience managing and developing multi-unit managers in a fast-growth, multi-unit retail / service companyExcellent communication skills (both verbal, and written) as well as in large-group presentation situations. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills.Solid leadership skills; ability to make good decisions and enforce company policies in accordance with applicable regulations and proceduresMust be self-motivated and customer service orientedMust demonstrate appropriate negotiation, analytic skills, attention to detail, organizational and project management skillsEffectively allocates resources and time. Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deal with stressful situationsEngaging management style; use a 'hands-on' approach. Strong history of building morale and spirit; experience in motivating team members to work together to achieve goalsWilling to take a managed risk to drive business forwardDevelops a positive, respectful, productive and professional work environmentPC proficiency in such applications as Outlook, Word and ExcelExperience in real estate market planning strategy as well as a firm understanding of real estate variables that impact future sales potentialPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Hospitality/Restaurant Management, Food Service Administration, Business ManagementPhysical RequirementsMulti-store management work involves operating a motor vehicle to manage a field staff within a specific region or route. Regularly and safely perform all functions of operating a motor vehicle, including prolonged sitting. Regularly operate a laptop and mobile phone. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically. When filling in occasionally positioning oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, push, pull) to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions• High noise levels due to operations, customers and overhead music (including, but not limited to, rock, punk and alternative)• May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on store (varied weather conditions are expected); including delivering order curbside to the customer• Will work near moving or mechanical parts• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates• Must be authorized to work in the United States Want to help us spread MODness™?
