This is a key role, supporting our Global Head of Transport and Logistics to execute the site logistics transformation for Rotork in Bath. There may be limited travel across Europe to support Rotork site development and provide support and expertise.
Purpose of the Job:
Logistics Engineering is the process of:

- Logistics process design
- Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning
- Integration of supply chain requirements into warehouse design.
What is a Plan for Every Part (PFEP):
- PFEP will enable Rotork to develop a detailed plan for every component or part required in the Assembly process. This includes identifying a specific part number, its quantities, the supplier, and the storage location. PFEP also provides a detailed view of the part's attributes, such as its dimensions, weight, and material type. This information is then used to optimize the supply chain by reducing inventory carrying costs, improving production planning, and enhancing supplier performance.
- Designation of all parts to a defined Flow path mapping its journey within the Logistics and Manufacturing process.
Benefits of PFEP
- Better inventory management:With a detailed understanding of each part and component required for manufacturing, supply chain organizations can reduce inventory carrying costs and minimize the risk of stockouts through PFEP.
- Streamlining supply chain processes:PFEP provides a complete view of the supply chain. This allows organizations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and accordingly optimize the processes.
- Enhancing supplier performance:Organizations can have closer relationships with suppliers by identifying specific suppliers for each part and collaborate with them on ways to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Improving production planning:Through PFEP, they can optimize production planning and minimize delays by understanding the lead times and storage requirements for each part.
