Position Information:
The Registrar is a university leader in supporting student success through university and program innovation, problem-solving, consulting, and direct-to-student services. The Registrar is responsible for the productive use of the university's student information system; management of student records; registration processes; policy development, review, and management; and student-facing academic support activities for the University. This position directs the centralized activities of the Registrar's Office staff that have direct responsibility for transcript maintenance and verification, academic registration, graduation, and professional licensure certification. The Registrar ensures the University's policies and procedures regarding student records are in compliance with FERPA and other legal, regulatory, and academic requirements.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible opportunity.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 1-2 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Duties:
- Lead design, development, and delivery of Registrar processes.
- Actively contribute solutions for innovative academic offerings.
- Implement policies and procedures for the administration of student records in accordance with federal/state regulations, laws, accreditation requirements, as well as institutional goals and objectives.
- Research and execute process improvement; and continue to expand the use and functionality of existing and new technology to ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data and records.
- Develop and manage the academic policy portfolio.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students.
- Supervise the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of degrees programs, enrollment and degree verification, production of official transcripts and diplomas.
- Maintain processes related to registration, creating class schedules, processing and reporting grades, production of transcripts and diplomas, enrollment and graduation.
- Develop guidelines and manage the communication of student and program information to internal and external customers.
- Manage the daily operations of the Registrar's Office.
What you need to have?
- Bachelor's degree
- Seven years of related experience, including five years in management roles
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and technical requirements.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and university leaders.
- Demonstrated skills in meeting the information and planning needs of students through development of various service programs from the Registrar's Office
- Strong partnership skills including collaboration, willingness, candor, clear communication, and action-
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships both internally and externally

Compensation:
$75,000 - $90,000
The hiring rate is determined by a combination of education, related professional experience, and internal equity considerations and may exceed the posted range. NWHSU is committed to fair and equitable pay practices and does not base compensation decisions on or any other protected status.
