AHRI has an opening for a Regulatory Compliance Engineer in our legal department. The Regulatory Compliance Engineer serves as a technical subject matter expert on HVAC-R products, supporting the association’s regulatory reporting to the various federal, state, and international regulatory agencies such as Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Our Regulatory Compliance Engineer....
- Develops and increases expertise in federal and state regulations related to AHRI member covered products (i.e., residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioning, space heating, water heating, commercial refrigeration equipment).
- Analyzes technical and engineer issues affecting AHRI members by reviewing proposed and finalized federal and state regulations related to AHRI member covered products.
- Advises and coordinates with AHRI Certification and Data Services Department regarding the implementation of federal and state regulations on AHRI member covered products as it relates to regulatory compliance and reporting to the federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Develops and presents to the AHRI members, AHRI staff, and external audiences, in the form of briefings, reports, and presentations on technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree is a plus!)
- Minimum of seven years of work experience within the field of engineering
- Minimum of three years of work experience working with a third-party certification body or federal agency, i.e., Department of Energy or Environmental Protection Agency.
AHRI offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package including employer contributions to 401(k) and Roth(k) plans, paid family leave, and HSA contributions. The salary range for this position is $118,500 - $135,000 based upon experience.
