Reliability Engineer

Functieomschrijving By helping to apply and further develop the Design for Reliability methodology, you will play a central role in sustaining the commercial success of the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for semiconductors. Your technical skills will be crucial, but equally important will be your communication skills and persistence to continually influence others to prioritize and maintain reliability as a key performance indicator for our systems. You will collaborate with various departments within the organization such as Design and Development, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Support, as well as work closely with suppliers.For a specific subsystem and its related parts & modules/building blocks, your responsibilities will include:Analyzing field performance and lessons learned.Establishing reliability requirements and budget breakdowns.Defining operational environments and use cases.Performing risk analysis/FMEA with the development team.Identifying critical parts.Conducting reliability testing at different functional levels within a subsystem, including feasibility and lifetime testing.Performing reliability predictions.Conducting root cause analysis.Reviewing designs with a focus on robustness. BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or (applied) physics, preferably with a focus on reliability engineering.Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly advantageous.Priority will be given to candidates with at least two years of practical experience in reliability engineering and qualification.Candidates with a technical background and experience in industrial problem-solving, failure mechanisms, and statistics are encouraged to apply.
