Reliability Engineer E&I

Reliability Engineer E&I Responsibilities You analyze failure data using the Reliability/Inspection databases to identify and resolve recurring problems (bad actors). You facilitate root cause investigations and conduct risk analyses for preventive and predictive maintenance. You solve complex problems using Lean Six Sigma techniques and other continuous process improvement techniques. You develop long range plans and obsolescent plans for E&I equipment, identify critical equipment and vulnerabilities, and create mitigation plans as part of the asset strategy to achieve reliability and availability goals. You set up a preventive maintenance program based on a Long Range Plan, monitor its execution, and conduct periodic reviews to optimize maintenance programs and PM plans, reducing site costs. You manage spare parts for both critical and non-critical equipment. You are involved in various phases of new construction (CAPEX) projects and provide input for turnaround scopes ensuring that reliability in design is implemented. You work in a team of approximately 15 maintenance and reliability engineers for static, rotating, and E&I&A activities for two plants at the Botlek and Maasvlakte locations. You actively collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Technology, Safety and Projects multidisciplinary teams. You report to the Reliability Engineer Lead. Requirements You are analytically strong and timely detect recurring failures to convert them into long-term, cost-efficient, and high-quality solutions. You work well with different functional groups on site and demonstrate exceptional facilitation skills as a reliability engineer. You are flexible, resilient to stress, and can set priorities well At least 7 years of experience with E&I installations in the petrochemical industry, supplemented with various industry-specific application courses. Knowledge of high and low voltage installations, protection systems according to IEC61511, design/maintenance of installations in ATEX zones, and E&I equipment and installations. Knowledge of local and international industry standards and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in E&I is strongly recommended, but extensive experience in E&I engineering is also recognized. Capable to coach, develop and hold others accountable. Ability to work across multi-disciplinary team. You are fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus. Basic proficiency in the following areas with the ability to develop into a subject matter expert in particular areas: Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring Techniques. Life Cycle Cost Analysis. Reliability data analysis (Weibull, Crow-Amsaa, and reliability modeling). RCM-based strategies for predictive and preventive maintenance. Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt.
