Renewables Mechanical Engineer

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our offices in Romania - Robanesti. Your role will encompass: Support the site manager in the completion of scope, quality and project milestones ensuring sub-contractor obligations are met Oversee the installation of mechanical systems, including mounting structures, tracking systems, and other mechanical components of the PV park Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical components and systems to verify compliance with standards and specifications Identify and rectify any defects or non-conformances in mechanical work. Work closely with electrical and civil engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other project components Coordinate with construction managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely completion of mechanical work Assist in the procurement and management of mechanical materials and equipment Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations for all mechanical work on site Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain accurate and detailed records of mechanical work, including installation logs, inspection reports, and test results. Prepare and submit regular progress reports on mechanical work to the Site Manager and Project Manager. Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team on mechanical issues. Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical problems that arise during construction. Oversee the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems to ensure they function as intended. Document and address any issues identified during commissioning and testing. What you bring to the role: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector or large-scale construction projects Previous experience on a solar farm project is not essential but will be highly regarded Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components used in PV parks Knowledge of regulatory, environmental and safety requirements. Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams.
