JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): Requirement, Configuration and Process Support System Engineer (EN-SY-04) PURPOSE OF THE JOB Provide support to the definition / update of the System Engineering process Provide offshore support to project / tender team for requirement management as per the turnkey RM process and methodology (allocation, traceability verification…) Provide offshore support to project / tender team for configuration management as per the turnkey CM process and methodology (baseline definition, …) ORGANISATION Organization structure (job belongs to) Turnkey System Engineering Reports directly to (N+1): Turnkey Chief Engineer Other reporting to: PrEM Direct reports (N-1): NA Network & Links Internal Central “Requirement Management” Process & Tools teams Configuration and Change Management Central Team Engineering metiers: PrEM, SEM, SE, IS&T, Quality External N/A MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Supports the creation / update of the Turnkey engineering processes (e.g. System Design, Interface, sizing, requirements, configuration, etc. Definition of the needs Writing of the relevant process and follow-up of the publication Support to the projects to implement the processes Supports the implementation of the Configuration and Change Management process on projects: Applies Configuration and Change standard procedures, instructions, templates etc. Provides support to the setup of the Configuration and Change Management tools. Provides support to the definition of baselines. Follows-up the progress of Change requests and liaises with all project stakeholders on the changes. Prioritizes Change Requests in cooperation with requestor and other involved functions, incl. assignment to a Configuration Baseline. Supports the implementation of the Requirement Management process on projects: Verifies the data quality & consistency in the RM database, Manages the requirements changes & configuration. MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: University degree in engineering Desirable: University degree in Rail industry or similar Experience Mandatory: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in engineering Requirements Management practical experience Configuration Management practical experience Practical experience of working on projects at various stages in a project lifecycle (though mainly early stages) Desirable: Experience in System Engineering Working in teams across multiple sites and cultures. Knowledge of the Alstom Management System Competencies & Skills Fluent English and French (speak, write) Experience of the use of database solutions for requirements management (e.g. DOORS) Experience of the use of Configuration / Change management tools (e.g. Project Wise, Clearquest) Systems Engineering / Integration conceptual knowledge Technical writing (English mandatory), requirement elicitation and formalization You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
