Scope
As an Engineer, you will report directly to the Manager of Engineering and Laboratory Services of Research and Development-North America. As a member of the Research and Development North America team, you will use your unique skill set to accelerate growth with a particular focus on the United States and the North American region. You will work across Business Units and Corporate Functions to identify, investigate, develop, test, and scale high-impact new products.
Major Duties
Equipment and Instrumentation Design and Development
- Design, develop and implement safe, reliable, sustainable, and economically viable equipment and instrumentation on the laboratory scale
- Lead and support the transfer of processes and products to production.
New Product Development
- Think big and inspire those around you to connect the dots differently, unleashing new possibilities to develop the materials, technologies, and products of the future
- Network among the most innovative partners in high-potential business fields to influence and educate external gatekeepers about the company's capabilities and advancement
- Support business units via technical consulting, customer interaction, and evolutionary product development
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional teams, plan and manage resources to test (concept to launch) new materials, processes, technologies, and products
- Communicate effectively via presentations, pitches, and written reports
- Contribute to the development of IP
Job Requirements
Formal Education and Training
- Required: Degree (e.g., BS, MS) in chemical engineering, industrial process engineering, or a related field Occupational Experience
- Required: Experience in developing scalable materials on the laboratory scale and translating laboratory-scale processes to production processes.
