Epigenetics Research Scientist

Location: London (On-site)

As a Research Scientist in our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to pioneering research projects focused on epigenetics and its applications in areas such as gene regulation and gene therapy. You will utilize your deep understanding of genetics to explore novel avenues for therapeutic interventions and develop cutting-edge approaches to modulate gene expression and cellular reprogramming. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Designing and conducting experiments to investigate epigenetic modifications and their impact on gene regulation using state-of-the-art techniques.
  • Employing epigenetic techniques such as ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, or CUT&RUN to analyze chromatin structure and regulatory elements.
  • Utilizing genome editing tools like CRISPR/Cas9 to explore the potential of gene therapy and gene editing in treating genetic disorders.
  • Investigating the role of epigenetics in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, contributing to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate epigenetic research into the broader context of gene regulation and cell reprogramming.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ph.D. in Epigenetics or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in epigenetic techniques such as ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, or CUT&RUN, and a solid understanding of gene regulation mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in genome editing tools, particularly CRISPR/Cas9, and experience in gene therapy or gene editing research.
  • Extensive knowledge of cell reprogramming, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine is highly desirable.
  • Track record of innovative and impactful research, evidenced by publications in reputable scientific journals.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
