Resident Project Engineer

PurposeResident Project Engineer is a site based project engineering role which includes engineering and project management responsibilities. You work on new automated warehouse build projects. Broadly, you manage the implementation of OSP products and associated supporting infrastructure to new Ocado automated warehouses on a global scale.As an important part of the project team, you work closely with different internal and external stakeholders, including the clients technical team and Ocados internal departments such as Programme Management, Product Development, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to successfully deliver the project.As a site based project engineer, you actively contribute to the project during its build phase. Being the representative of the Central Engineering team on site, you are the main point of contact for engineering issue resolution across all product streams. You work closely with the Ocado install team and contractors on site to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner and build quality is maintained by following the correct install and quality assurance methodologies. Understand client needs, support creation of user requirements and communicate effectively with the project team and the client.Support Supply Chain and project teams for technical queries within engineering context.
