Job Overview

Brett Design/Build is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site residential construction operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, materials, and equipment while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized job site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to maintain project schedules and resolve conflicts.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, and quality control standards.
• Maintain detailed daily logs of job site activities, progress, and any delays or issues.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized job site.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to communicate expectations and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Identify and resolve construction-related challenges, including subcontractor deficiencies and material issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential construction, with a background in tract housing, multifamily, or high-end custom homes .
• Strong understanding of construction trades, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, quality control, and subcontractor management.
• Experience using construction management software (Sage Construction Management, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and navigate active construction sites safely.
