Job Description
The Electrical Helper will work under the supervision of a lead electrician to assist with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial settings. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade and develop their skills. The Electrical Helper will assist in the completion of electrical projects while learning and following industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, panels, and light fixtures
- Help prepare job sites, tools, and materials needed for electrical work
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and used properly
- Follow all safety guidelines and practices to maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct basic troubleshooting under supervision and assist with repairs of electrical systems
- Load and unload electrical materials and equipment from vehicles to job sites
- Clean and organize work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Assist with running and pulling wire, setting up circuits, and connecting electrical components
- Help with the installation of electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, and thermostats
- Assist in conducting quality control checks to ensure electrical work meets code standards
- Provide general labor support to the electrician on the job site
- Complete required training and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge
- Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit professionalism while interacting with team members and clients
Job Requirements (or Comparable Certifications)
- Minimum 1 year of experience or training in the electrical field (apprenticeship or related coursework)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in the electrical trade
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and assist with multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative on the job site
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and at high elevations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Clean background check
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record

- Salary Range - $15/hr - $20/hr (depending on experience)
