Job DescriptionJob Description
Job Overview
Resistance welder 1
Oregon Wire is seeking people for expansion. This job is a fast paced position where you will use dexterity and mobility to achieve 250 parts per shift. You will be making rectangle grids for concrete reinforcement. Your job is to load the fixture with the correct wire and weld them out using a foot pedal with a timer. Four welds are done at the same time and you manually move the fixture through the welding area to weld the remaining wires. This is done over and again. Very repetitive. Once you figure out the movements of this position, it will become very easy and will be a breeze. During the first week of training, each day you will be given a target part count to ramp up your speed to achieve the end result of 250 each day.
