Returns Verification and Analysis Program Manager

AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: Join AMD’s team of highly skilled professionals in managing Global Quality Returns. This fast growing team is looking for a self-driven individual eager to establish a new operation and supervise a small group of personnel. The Singapore based role is responsible for establishing and managing returns verification capabilities for the non-China Asia customer base. This team will be responsible for testing customer returns for Quality learning and cost avoidance purposes. Additionally, this role will be responsible for performing analysis critical to the global Quality returns operations. This role will have regular interaction within the Quality team exposure to multiple teams, as well as cross functional exposure within AMD to functions such as Sales, Logistics, Security, Legal, and Finance. THE PERSON: As a member of our Quality Returns Verification team, you will be a crucial part of driving improvement and innovation in Quality operations and processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish capabilities for verifying Quality returns (RMAs) for the Asia-Pacific region Define operations processes which meet defined quality requirements and turnaround time expectations. Hire, Train, and monitor personnel to follow those processes. Deploy test equipment provided by North America engineering team Forecast demand for equipment based on inputs from wider Quality and Business teams. Work with Global Logistics teams to implement processes to manage tested material Share test result and operations with wider Quality teams Remotely coordinate deployments of verification capabilities at Asia Pacific customer sites. Perform data analysis on Quality returns and operations data. Define and prepare reporting on KPIs for various levels of management. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Proven Program Manager with direct people management background Strong Data Analytics and Reporting skills Ability to work with limited direct supervision, and take direction from remote management Background in Engineering with B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical engineering preferred. 5+ years of related experience in the areas of semiconductor/computer manufacturing, product engineering, or quality engineering Possess strong technical knowledge of computer products such as Laptop, Desktop, Server, Automotive and understanding of AMD components Effective presentation and communication skills Familiarity with negotiation techniques with suppliers and customers. Fluent in both spoken and written English ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Background in Engineering with B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical engineering preferred.
