We are looking to recruit a Reward Manager to join the ScottishPower Reward team. The Reward Manager will be responsible for partnering with an SP Business to develop and execute the reward strategy and roadmap, that enables the attraction, motivation, and retention of top talent. This role involves managing compensation, benefits, and recognition programmes to ensure they are competitive, fair, and aligned to ScottishPower’s people goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role you will be partnering with a ScottishPower Business to develop and execute the reward strategy and associated roadmap.  Managing the execution of the associated project portfolio and communication plans ensuring key stakeholders are updated and engaged. 

Leading a team of Consultants and Advisors in planning, communicating, and delivering the annual performance, pay, and bonus cycles for the designated area, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution. 

Oversee the delivery of job evaluation, grading, and benchmarking activities, as well as the collection and analysis of external survey data across the company.

We will look for you to collaborate with the HR Shared Services and Systems team to drive continuous improvement, simplification, and automation of reward policies and processes, focusing on efficiency and enhanced customer experience and ensure as a team we meet external and internal reporting requirements, maintaining robust governance of reward processes.

Working closely with the Head of Reward, other Reward team members, and the People Strategy team to coordinate resources for broader project activities, job evaluations and engaging with Trade Unions and employee representatives during the annual reward cycle, routine activities, and project delivery.

As an expert in Reward, you will be able to keep yourself up to date on best practices and regulatory changes impacting the reward function, through effective external networks and are confident to represent ScottishPower at Reward & Employee Benefits industry forums and events as appropriate.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in designing, setting, or contributing to the development of reward strategies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing both fixed and variable pay, as well as reward frameworks.

You should have a proven track record of leading the annual pay and bonus cycle and be comfortable working with diverse reward practices. Experience of operating in a unionised environment is desirable but not essential.  Experience in managing the coordination and delivery of multiple projects across a range of stakeholders, often with tight deadlines, is essential.

The ability to build strong and effective working relationships at all levels, both with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, is crucial. Additionally, a good business understanding is necessary to effectively align technical solutions with overall business goals.
