Rig Welder Job Summary 

We are seeking a skilled Rig Welder to safely and efficiently fabricate, cut, fit, and modify or repair metal and steel devices, structures, and piping as directed. The Rig Welder will oversee all hot work execution and ensure proper welding, cutting, and grinding operations are performed in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Rig Welder Responsibilities

• Follow layouts, blueprints, and work orders to weld metal components together.
• Clean and prepare material surfaces for welding.
• Construct or repair metal products using manual or machine welding techniques.
• Mark materials with proper job numbers and other identification marks.
• Review Chemist and Competent Person reports to determine if the job site is safe.
• Ensure all welding operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and specification standards.

Rig Welder Position Requirements

• Previous offshore welding experience.
• Valid OGUK/USCG Medical/Fit-to-Work offshore certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• ABS Welder Certification.
• Rig Pass Certification.
• Water Survival Certification.
• TWIC Card.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• T-HUET / BOSIET / FOET Certification.
• Experience in offshore rig environments.
• Additional welding certifications or endorsements.
