Rigger ($23.00-25.00/hr)

Key Responsibilities:
- The Rigger ensures all loads and equipment are lifted and set properly, always demonstrating consistent commitment to safety.
- Assess items to develop a lifting and moving strategy.
- Properly select gear or tools for each job to avoid injury to self and others and avoid damage to freight and machinery.
- Inspect rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Attach and detach loads with all safety rules and regulations.
- Riggers can be machinery movers, or those with a construction background or carpentry background, typically will be field work.
- Safely maneuver loads through difficult and confined spaces.
- Examine tool and equipment needed for each job on a daily or as needed basis.
- Monitor, fix and replace tools and equipment as needed.
- Report and escalate all concerns/situations to management immediately.
- Attend required meetings and trainings.
- Prepare and communicate reports as needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 Years experience in any of the Following Fields: Rigging, Construction, Welding, Carpenter, or electrician.
- Experienced with crane assembly and disassembly.
- Be unafraid of heights, climbing ladders and walking across scaffolding.
- Good math skills for calculating load requirements.
- Knowledge of rigging equipment
Equipment Used:
- Be able to operate machinery including but not limited to forklift, pallet jack, telehandler and similar equipment.
- Capable of working with power tools, drilling, anchoring
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move extremely large or heavy objects on a regular basis (a minimum of 50 pounds)
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
