My client, an award-winning law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis – working as their new Risk & Compliance Manager.
This role will be situated in Brighton (at least to start – for training purposes) but can be based long-term in London, Gatwick or Guildford.
As the successful Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures and providing general Risk & Compliance advice to the wider firm.
You’ll also be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Supervising and training the Risk & Compliance Assistant
- Developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures
- Assisting the Head of Risk & Compliance in dealing with complaints
- Being the first point of contact for -Earners who require advice and guidance on issues surrounding the SRA, Ethics, Conflicts or Professional Conduct
- Maintaining the firms Confidential Register of Interest
- Assisting with due diligence work and other risk management issues
- Reviewing third-party terms of business

To be considered for this opportunity, you’ll need to have/be:
- Have previous/existing law firm experience
- Have a solid understanding of Risk Management techniques
- Have detailed knowledge and understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct Rules
- Be able to commute to their Brighton office (at least for training purposes)
- Be able to train and mentor junior members of staff
