We are seeking a Financial Assistance Risk & Control Analyst to join a dynamic team within a leading financial institution. This is a key role that sits within the Financial Assistance team, and you will play an integral part in supporting the team by driving effective governance and managing non-financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist risk and control advice to both internal stakeholders and across the organization.
• Partner with Risk and Control Owners to promote a culture of risk management and oversight.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of a risk-aware culture, ensuring team-wide adherence to best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, testing controls, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Lead operational event management, root cause analysis, and lessons learned initiatives.
• Support the continuous development of departmental risk frameworks and policies.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong understanding of non-financial risk management frameworks and experience in first-line control testing.
• Hands on experience within a collections team
• Expertise in Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty.
• Previous experience in banking or lending environments is beneficial.
• A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Skills & Competencies:

• Exposure to working in a First or Second line risk role.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
