Your expertise will help us in powering homes and businesses with clean, sustainable energy. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting detailed surveys of rooftops to evaluate their suitability for solar PV installations.
Identifying and highlighting any defects or issues that may impact the proposed PV system or affect the integrity of the roof in the future.
Ensuring comprehensive documentation of survey findings to prevent the installation of systems on non-viable roofs or potential liability for roof damage.
Collaborating with the technical team to coordinate survey assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.
Maintaining punctuality and self-motivation in planning and executing survey schedules.
Utilizing a company-supplied van for transportation to survey locations.
Reviewing information recorded on the company job management system.
Compiling survey data and images into a professional report, utilizing strong IT skills to present findings clearly and comprehensively.Key Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and relevant regulations.
Good knowledge of various roofing types, including pitched tile, slate, metal standing seam, metal trap, and flat roofs.
Experience in identifying and assessing defects or issues in Solar PV installations and roof condition.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and manage survey schedules independently.
Familiarity with solar installation practices, particularly in commercial settings, is advantageous.
Proficiency in IT skills, including the ability to generate comprehensive reports from survey data and images.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Possession of a clean driving license and being over 25 years old due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
