Reporting to the Director of Safety and Quality, the Safety Advisor is responsible to fulfill safety obligations for the region. Position BenefitsHere’s why we think you’ll love working at Lindsay: Flexible working hours throughout the year (early “Lindsay Fridays”)Competitive salary Annual Incentive Plan Employee Health Benefits Group RRSP with 4% matching Annual health and wellness reimbursement Frequent social and community-based events Opportunities to collaborate closely with senior personnel and other departmentsPosition ResponsibilitiesHere’s what your day-to-day looks like: Ensure compliance with applicable legislation within Atlantic Canada Promote a strong safety culture both onsite and in office Provide your insight into the company’s health and safety program to continuously make improvements Conduct safety training and maintain safety training records (e.g., safety orientations, equipment inspections) Conduct comprehensive hazard assessments and formal site inspections Participate in recording monthly safety statistics Implement, enforce, monitor, and update site specific health and safety plans Deliver site specific safety orientations and ensure that personnel undergo orientation before entering the site Maintain site specific logs of inspections, meeting, infractions, and mitigating measures Assist with maintenance of the company’s quality management system Work with the safety department on various business development initiatives (International Standards Organization, Workers Compensation Board, safety training, loss control, etc.)Job RequirementsOur ideal candidate has the following: 5+ years of safety experience within the construction industry CHSC or CRSP designation, or similar Knowledge of current legislation and regulations within Atlantic Canada Knowledge of safe work practices required for execution work and operation of equipment Knowledge of preventative maintenance program for construction site equipment Possess a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to lead and work with minimal supervision Possess valid driver’s license How to Apply: Please use the link provided to apply.
